Sports Training FAQs
Sports performance training is a program of skills development that helps athletes improve key fitness metrics such as agility, speed, or strength, in relation to their preferred sport and the movements and skills required by it.
We are committed to working with athletes and helping them achieve measurable results. An athlete is actively playing a competitive sport and registered with a local or regional team, unless recovering from an injury or between seasons.
MettaPerformance focuses on physical skills development to include strength and conditioning, speed, and mobility. We do not offer services around nutrition or mental preparation.
Our expertise focuses on the physical development of athletes with regard to body composition and abilities. While we may share nutrition guidelines from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, we are not licensed to provide advice or give professional recommendations.
MettaPerformance’s key areas of expertise are dedicated to physical skills development. We do not offer mental performance coaching at this time.
MettaPerformance is led by sports performance manager Fernando Torres. He holds a Master of Science in Exercise and Sports Science, along with a number of professional licenses and certifications for strength and conditioning coaching, mobility specialist, weight lifting coaching and more. Unfortunately, no. A scheduled training session is dedicated to the individual athlete it is reserved for. An athlete’s success with sports performance training hinges on their commitment and self discipline. However, memberships can be paused to reflect travel or active seasons.
Memberships are flexible and billed month-to-month. As such, the minimum engagement is one month.
We use a variety of metrics to track progress for our athletes. The initial assessment is used as a baseline and periodic reviews are used to track improvements.
